Compassion: noun

sympathy and sorrow for
another who is stricken

by a strong desire to

Compassion is a Christian
based organisation who
has worked with local
churches overseas for
more than 50 years in
assisting, impacting and
practically showing the
love of Jesus Christ to
over 1million poverty
stricken children. Compassion's
aim is to help children
develop economically,
physically, socially and
spiritually. This enables
them to become adults
who can make an impact
on the world around them.
As a Church we have the
most amazing opportunity
to partner with Compassion
in making a difference
in the lives of children,
their families and their
communities in the Country
of Ethiopia. Ethiopia
has a population of 67.8
million and 50% of the
population are living
below the poverty line.
As a part of our Faith,
Justice and Mercy projects,
C7's starting goal is
to see 60 children sponsored
and taken out of that
devastating statistic.
By focusing on sponsoring
children in one region
at a time, we will see
not only individual lives
being changed but potentially
a whole nation.
Isaiah
61
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign
LORD is on me, because
the LORD has anointed
me to preach good news
to the poor. He has sent
me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for
the captives and release
from darkness for the
prisoners, 2 to proclaim
the year of the LORD's
favor and the day of vengeance
of our God, to comfort
all who mourn... 8 "For
I, the LORD, love justice;...
It is the Church's responsibility
to bring justice and we
are the Church. Together,
eliminating poverty, one
child at a time. For further
